Valleyschwag: Join the Party!

You probably know that I like schwag (t-shirts, stickers, postcards and all sorts of promotional stuff) and that I think it's an important part of any marketing and promotion. You also probably know that I'm a bit of a geek and like to keep up with the latest things in technology. I'm very excited about signing up for Valleyschwag, which is a subscription service that sends you stuff from Silicon Valley every month. I'm waiting my first package now and I'm very excited.

command-N Video Podcast

For a while now I've been helping with the video podcast command-N which is a weekly technology show available only on the internet. I've shot segments with Jeff MacArthur one of the coproducers and hosts of the show, but this week in command-N Episode 45 I'm in front of the camera with Jeff and we talk about colour temperature and white balance. It was fun and there is a lot of great stuff in every episode. You can watch on the web, download it, or even send it to your iPod if you have one with video.

Tilda Swinton: "State of Cinema" Address

Can I be alone in my longing for inarticulacy, for a cinema that refuses to join all the dots?

Tilda Swinton gave an amazing response to her son's question of "what people's dreams were like before the cinema was invented." She responded in The 2006 San Francisco International Film Festival "State of Cinema" Address and SF360 has the text of it. It's amazing and inspirational.
